My name is Noel (she/her), and I’m an artist based in Ottawa, Ontario. My practice lives at the intersection of the personal and the tactile—where thoughts become objects and quiet reflections find physical form.
Working across photography—both film and digital—as well as sculpture and installation, I explore the slow unfolding of inner dialogues. Textiles and hands-on materials ground much of my work, allowing me to stitch, build, and assemble pieces that speak to intimacy, memory, and the shifting nature of self.
As a queer artist, my work often orbits the personal, not always to declare, but to listen. I’m drawn to the spaces where vulnerability becomes visible, and where art can hold a kind of quiet companionship with the viewer.
I have completed three years of my Bachelor of Fine Arts, and recently presented a paper on interactivity in computer-based art at the SUNY New Paltz Undergraduate Art History Symposium. My practice continues to evolve through dialogue, collaboration, and curiosity.
